Erick Tjarks — CEO, Founder
Erick Tjarks is the CEO and Founder of Arrowbrook Advisors. Prior to founding the firm, Erick led credit underwriting and debt placement activities at an industrial real estate private equity firm in Chicago. While there, he structured creative capital solutions to facilitate more efficient use of capital. He also analyzed over 300 corporate credits, ultimately providing diverse and secure cash flow streams to the firm.
Erick has also led a research department at a net-lease based brokerage firm which produced timely and critical data regarding real estate projects and markets, as well as financial modeling and forecasting, which armed brokers with data needed to complete transactions.
In addition, Erick has consulted and advised traditional private equity groups, investment banks, capital market leaders, real estate investment and distressed debt funds, and individual investors. In his career, Erick has assisted in the transaction of over $4 billion of total real estate.
Erick holds a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Iowa.
David Gimbel — Partner
Throughout his career, David Gimbel financed over $4 billion of commercial real estate including industrial, office, apartment, residential and retail properties.
David joined AIC Ventures in 2005 as the Director of Capital Markets, and since becoming a partner in 2008, he has been responsible for both debt placements and credit underwriting on over 200 deals covering more than $3 billion in net lease industrial real estate.
Prior to AIC, David was a founding partner of Intergroup Financial Services, a private mortgage banking firm based in Chicago, he was also a co-founder and director a community bank. Prior to that, he was a vice president of Inland Real Estate Corporation, a real estate investment firm, responsible for financing all corporate and partnership acquisitions.
David holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BBA from Miami University.
